New site design goes live! The new design is finally in a state where it can go live! There is still much work to do however. I need to complete the portfolio section and take care of a few other things before I will be satisfied with it enough to consider it 100% up and running.

Nemeton Erithan History
Nemeton Erithan is a webiste that has its humble roots about ten years ago in Erithan's very first website "Realms of Fantasy", which was at Geocities, and had animated gifs, and a midi file - as was then the fashion on the web. Since then, the website has gone through much evolution - spending much time as "Guildmaster Erithan's Realm of Riven" and "The Guild Hall" at Riven Guild, where it was one of the 'beta testing' sites for that community. When Riven Guild shut down, the site was hosted by fellow Myst fan turned artist and game developer, Rickard Johansson, and transformed in to a personal portfolio.
Recent Years
In more recent years as Erithan drifted away from the Myst community and towards other interests she sought her own host out, and developed multi-faceted website that included sections for both her artwork and her hobbies. She plans to maintain the presence of the site for such purposes.
Nemeton?
The Oxford Dictionary of Celtic Mythology defines Nemeton as a Gaulish word that apparently means 'sacred grove' or 'sanctuary'. When I first chose the name it seemed fitting, and I still feel that way. This is after all my own little corner of the internet; my sacred space, or sanctuary if you will, on the web.
About Erithan
Erithan is a long time Internet user. She first started on free BBSs, and then switched to the internet when they were no longer free, and she wanted to find out more information about her interests - namely the MYST computer games and universe, speculative fiction, The Legend of Zelda, and Celtic history. That list of interests has grown and evolved over the years to include herbalism, geeky computer things, the World of Warcraft game universe, creative writing, and digital art.
In pursuit of her deep interest in all things Celtic, Erithan has completed a Specialist Degree (Hon B.A.) in Celtic Studies at the University of Toronto. She also has two years of post secondary education in New Media (film, photography, digital art) from Ryerson University.
