Celtic Studies at St. Mike's College at The University of Toronto
I am currently in my fourth year of a Specialist degree (Hon.B.A.) in Celtic Studies. My program covers a broad area of 'Celtic' history (from early to modern and different sections), and is particularly strong in literature and Irish language studies - though it covers everything from Scots Gaelic to Irish immigrant writers in early Canada.
My own area of interest lies in the study of pre-Christian Celtic life, particularly religion, law, and medicine. Though I am also quite intrigued by the mythology.
Upon completion of the Hon.B.A, I am considering going overseas to the UK/Ireland to do graduate/post-graduate work where I can continue to focus on my areas of interest (and probably narrow them down very specifically). Or, I may change courses alltogether and go back to the computer world and learn programming. We will see.
If you have any questions about Celtic culture please feel free to drop me a line and I will do my best to answer them for you. I admittedly do not know everything, though I do know a fair bit. My email is erithan at this domain.
